Position Summary
Virginia Transformer Corp. is seeking a highly motivated, technically minded, and exceptionally organized Executive Technical Associate to provide direct support to executive leadership. This unique role combines elements of executive support, project coordination, technical analysis, business operations, and strategic execution.
The IT Field Support technician will report to the Staff Manager while working closely with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, business operations, technical projects, executive communications, and organizational priorities. This individual will frequently interact with senior executives and accompany executive leadership during meetings, customer visits, plant tours, industry events, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
The ideal candidate is a technically capable professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex business challenges, communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and is eager to gain exposure to executive decision-making and business leadership.
Key Responsibilities Executive Support & Coordination
- Provide day-to-day support to executive leadership.
- Accompany executive leadership to internal meetings, customer visits, plant tours, business reviews, and industry events.
- Prepare meeting agendas, presentations, briefing materials, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Capture meeting notes, action items, and follow-up commitments.
- Track and monitor completion of executive action items across departments.
- Assist with travel coordination, scheduling, logistics, and executive communications.
- Coordinate follow-up activities and ensure timely execution of executive priorities.
Business Analysis & Strategic Support
- Conduct research and analysis on business, operational, technical, market, and competitive topics.
- Gather, organize, and summarize information to support executive decision-making.
- Develop reports, dashboards, executive summaries, and presentation materials.
- Analyze business metrics, operational performance, project status, and organizational initiatives.
- Support strategic planning activities and special projects.
- Assist in identifying process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Technical & Project Coordination
- Assist in coordinating cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations teams.
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder communications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and business transformation efforts.
- Utilize technology and business systems to improve reporting and organizational effectiveness.
- Assist with implementation and adoption of AI-enabled tools, automation solutions, and business applications.
- Support technical research, data analysis, and executive reporting requirements.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of executive leadership.
- Coordinate communications, follow-up actions, and project updates.
- Support preparation for customer meetings, executive reviews, leadership meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while handling sensitive business information.
- Develop strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis, engineering, project coordination, consulting, operations, executive support, technology, or related professional environments.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to travel as required to support executive activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering, technical, or analytical background.
- Experience supporting executive leadership, business operations, or strategic initiatives.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, industrial, energy, engineering, or technology environments.
- Experience with project management methodologies and process improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to AI tools, automation technologies, and business intelligence platforms.
- Experience creating executive-level presentations, reports, and dashboards.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required.
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Microsoft Teams and collaboration platforms
- Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
- Data analysis and business reporting
- AI productivity and automation tools
- Project management software and reporting systems
- CRM and ERP systems preferred
- Strong presentation development and executive communication skills
