About the Centralized Planning Group (CPG):
The Centralized Planning Group supports investment and insurance operations for financial advisors at Northwestern Mutual Greater Colorado.
Position Summary:
The Investment Operations Associate supports investment operations to ensure accurate trade processing, account opening, account servicing, and timely client-ready reporting. This role works closely with financial advisors and back-office partners to maintain high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile investment trades, settlements, and income events.
- Assist with trade confirmations, settlement monitoring, cash allocations, and trade lifecycle tasks.
- Support advisor and client inquiries related to holdings, account activity, and servicing and reporting requests.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and firm policies in all investment operations activities.
Education and Industry Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- SIE, Series 6 or 7, and Series 63 preferred or willing to obtain in first 3 months.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and comfort working with data.
- Effective written and verbal communication; team-oriented and client-service focused.
- Clean compliance/background check per home office requirements.
- Familiarity with investment products (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs) and basic portfolio concepts preferred.
Work Environment & Benefits:

- Salary: $68,000-$75,000 commensurate with experience.
