Teacher Job Description:

The ideal candidate for this position would be an energetic and capable teacher who is
excited about elementary school education. The teacher will demonstrate the ability to
teach a variety of different types of learners, a willingness to collaborate with a community
of educators, and the ability to make a strong contribution to a growing school system.

● Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school’s
curriculum and educational standards.
● Create classroom routines and procedures to ensure safe and orderly instruction,
following the school's Positive Behavioral Policies
● Maintain the classroom's cleanliness and orderliness on a daily basis, and help
students with organization and executive functioning
● Be responsible for the good condition and adequate supply for materials and
resources for the classroom
● Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student
engagement and learning
● Utilize a variety of differentiated instructional techniques and teaching methods to
meet the diverse needs of students
● Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support to
help students achieve their academic goals
● Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and the school
administration to support student development and address any concerns
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, attendance, and
other relevant information
● Use data to drive instructional goals and provide students with individual support
● Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best
practices in education
● Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide initiatives and
events
● Uphold the school’s policies, procedures, and values in all interactions with
students, parents, and staff
● Ensure student safety.
● Guide and support assistant teachers and aides, if applicable
● Update the bulletin boards monthly to reflect student learning
● Set up the classroom in the beginning of the year and pack up the classroom at the
end of the year
Education and experience:
● Undergraduate or Seminary degree required, Master's degree preferred
● 2-3 years of experience teaching in a Jewish day school, or other comparable
experience preferred, not required
Pay: $57,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
