Qualifications and Requirements
Previous basketball coaching experience preferred- Must have the ability to work with other coaches and receive direction from the Athletic Director and/or Principal.
- Must be able to relate well to middle school students, parents, school personnel and the general public
- Must be knowledgeable of MHSAA rules and regulations
- Focuses on the student first and the athlete second
- Must strive to boost school spirit and promote good sportsmanship
Essential Functions and Representative Duties
- Teach techniques and fundamentals of sport.
- Be able to demonstrate all skills necessary for the sport.
- Be knowledgeable about the rules and regulations of the sport.
- Assume the responsibility for constant care of equipment and facilities being used.
- Conduct structured practices that follow the guidelines of the Athletic Department.
- Be an example of good character and sportsmanship to the team at all times.
- Be reliable, on time and exhibit strong leadership and character traits.
- Assist the Athletic Director and/or Principal as needed.
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director and/or Principal.
COMPENSATION: Based on experience
