Receiving Specialist
Full-Time or Part-Time | 1st Shift | Monday–Friday
Pay: $16.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience
Encore Fulfillment is a rapidly growing third-party logistics and fulfillment company located in Oklahoma City. We help our customers store, manage, and ship their products accurately, quickly, and with excellent service.
We currently have openings at both of our Oklahoma City locations near NW 36th & Santa Fe and NW 10th & Portland. Team members may be assigned to one location but may occasionally be asked to report to the other location as business needs require.

Job Summary
The Receiving Specialist is responsible for receiving inventory from Encore’s customers and suppliers, verifying incoming shipments, identifying discrepancies, and preparing products to be placed into inventory.
This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring products are available for customer orders. The role requires attention to detail, dependability, organization, teamwork, and a willingness to do what it takes to serve our customers well.

Essential Functions
- Receive incoming customer inventory, products, materials, and supplies.
- Unload and organize incoming cartons, pallets, and shipments.
- Compare received inventory against packing slips, purchase orders, bills of lading, and other receiving documentation.
- Accurately count products, cartons, pallets, and units.
- Inspect incoming inventory for visible damage, incorrect products, shortages, overages, or other discrepancies.
- Document and report receiving discrepancies clearly and promptly.
- Enter receiving information accurately into Encore’s warehouse management system.
- Label products, cartons, pallets, and storage locations as required.
- Prepare received inventory for put-away into designated warehouse locations.
- Put away inventory accurately or coordinate with team members responsible for put-away.
- Maintain organized staging and receiving areas.
- Keep receiving docks, aisles, floors, workstations, pallets, boxes, and trash areas clean and orderly.
- Follow specific receiving requirements for each Encore client.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, inventory team members, account managers, and other warehouse team members.
- Work with urgency while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Assist with inventory counts, warehouse organization, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Schedule Expectations
This is a first-shift position scheduled Monday through Friday. Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available.
Receiving schedules may vary based on customer deliveries, freight appointments, incoming shipments, and business needs.
Team members may occasionally be asked to work additional hours during busy periods or special projects.
Education and Experience
- Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory control, material handling, shipping, or fulfillment experience preferred.
- Experience counting and verifying inventory is preferred.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Experience using a warehouse management system, barcode scanner, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Word is helpful but not required.
- Forklift, pallet jack, or other material-handling equipment experience is helpful but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
Qualifications
- Able to stand and walk throughout the day in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to safely move cartons, products, pallets, and other warehouse materials.
- Able to read product labels, packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documents.
- Able to count and use basic math accurately.
- Able to enter information accurately into a computer or handheld device.
- Able to work efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Organized and able to keep products and paperwork properly separated.
- Dependable, reliable, and responsible.
- Able to recognize and communicate inventory discrepancies.
- Able to respond to changing priorities and work needs each day.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
