Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team on a PRN basis.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing pharmaceutical care, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, including compounds, and enhancing patient outcomes. This position requires expertise in clinical pharmacy practices. The Pharmacist will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards. This includes checking calculations for compounds.
- Conduct thorough medication reviews and provide drug information to healthcare providers and patients
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop patient-specific medication plans based on medical history and current health status.
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions.
- Stay updated on medical terminology, drug therapies, and advancements in pharmacy practice.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Florida.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical management principles and medication administration protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems within a pharmacy context.
