Hanover Hall is seeking an experienced Business Office Manager (BOM) to join our skilled nursing facility in Hanover, PA.
The Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business office, ensuring efficient financial processes, accurate billing, and regulatory compliance while supporting the overall success of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective business office systems and procedures
- Ensure office supplies are requested, approved, and ordered in accordance with facility policies
- Manage resident billing, accounts receivable, collections, and payment posting
- Monitor delinquent accounts and report findings to the Administrator and/or Director of Finance
- Assist with planning and implementing accounting system updates and process improvements
- Perform all duties of the Accounting/Billing Assistant as needed
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Work collaboratively with residents, families, insurance providers, and government agencies regarding billing inquiries
- Assist with month-end reporting and other financial duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of business office and/or accounting experience required in long-term care accounts receivable
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and accounting software
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
