Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Porter/Make Ready Technician to join our maintenance team at Bryant at Summerville. This role involves ensuring that vacant apartments are turned for new residents to move in and meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position offers an opportunity to grow and advance in the multifamily industry
Responsibilities
- Perform general facilities maintenance including repairs and punch work to prepare units for occupancy/new move in
- Assist with maintaining the grounds, picking up trash and assisting with keeping common areas clean
- Assist with replacing electrical fixtures or plumbing fixtures as needed during turns.
- Supervise or assist with overseeing contract services at turns; painting, carpet cleaning and cleaning ensuring quality standards are met
- Maintain safety protocols during all maintenance activities
- Support leadership in maintenance tasks
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards
Skills
- Experience in electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- This position requires a proactive individual capable of handling diverse maintenance responsibilities while ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.
*Annual salary includes $21 an hour ROP, quarterly bonus, monthly commission and $1000 sign on bonus after a sucessful 6-months of employment.
