We are currently seeking a Group Team Lead who is ready to take ownership on the production floor—guiding team members, driving performance, and ensuring operations run safely and efficiently.
Basic Function:
Promote a culture of leading, supporting, and motivating employees in multiple work cells. Ensure safe and efficient operations while maintaining product quality standards, meeting customer demand, and production targets to contribute to the overall success of the manufacturing process. Ensuring overall company goals and objectives are achieved for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Responsibilities:
- Safety and Housekeeping
- Ensure all team members follow safety protocols, including personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Identify and report safety issues and participate in safety training programs.
- Submit IssueTrak tickets for potential safety concerns and promptly communicate to the team.
- Maintain a clean environment using 5S principles and housekeeping best practices.
- Quality
- Ensure quality output of the team using Process Control Plans and work order instructions.
- Collaborate with Quality to ensure compliance with inspection plans, including tools, fixtures, and measurement methods.
- Production Management
- Coordinate and execute daily work cell activities to meet production targets and customer demand.
- Monitor production processes, identify issues, and adjust work cell activities to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and quality-related data.
- Report data to Management and verbally communicate performance to the team and with production postings on designated communication boards in the plant and work cells.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of work orders.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and coach production operators to achieve daily manufacturing goals.
- Set clear expectations for team members and provide regular feedback on performance.
- Foster a collaborative, positive work environment encouraging continuous improvement and teamwork across all departments.
- Equipment and Maintenance
- Collaborate with management and maintenance to schedule and perform routine equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Report equipment malfunctions through the IssueTrak system and work with maintenance to resolve issues promptly.
- Train team members in the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure the team achieves safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
- Process Improvement
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve work cell processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Inventory and Materials Management
- Monitor and collaborate with the Materials team to maintain adequate inventory levels needed for production through the visual replenishment system (when applicable).
- Monitor and collaborate with the Materials team to remove expired TATS items from inventory and communicate via the documented process to maintain accurate inventory.
- Coordinate with Materials and Supply Chain to ensure timely material availability.
- Perform other duties as necessary to ensure efficient team functioning.
Experience:
Two (2) years in a leadership role
Familiarity with manufacturing procedures and processes.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment (preferred)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Proficient in using computer software for data entry and reporting (Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP)
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

Education/Training:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
