Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time (16+ hours/week) or full-time (36+ hours/week) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient group in Camarillo, California. Sterling Care Psychiatric Group is an independently owned practice dedicated to providing patient-centered care. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy for adult or child/adolescent populations. Your expertise will help improve mental health outcomes, promote recovery, and support overall well-being. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards.
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with DEA regulations and clinical guidelines, including psychopharmacology treatments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate behavioral health strategies, medication management, and patient education.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR/EHR systems) such as Icanotes to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health care across diverse settings and populations.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies to foster engagement and adherence.
Experience
- Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current licensure in the state of California.
- Minimum 2 years experience working as a PMNHP
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and clinical management
- Prior exposure to diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (Level I Trauma Center experience), outpatient clinics, or community mental health centers is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and patient assessment skills.

Our providers can choose to deliver services via telehealth, in Sterling's Camarillo office, or a hybrid of the two. Pay: $130.00 per hour
