About the position...
The Director of Construction Operations will provide high-level leadership for the company's Construction Division, overseeing estimating, project management, and field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with the Triple Crown Corporation's quality standards and strategic objectives. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive operational excellence, develop future leaders, improve financial performance, and position the construction division for continued growth and success.

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all construction operations, including estimating, project management, and field operations.
- Develop and execute operational strategies that improve productivity, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, mentor, and develop construction leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor departmental performance through key operational and financial metrics, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Partner with executive leadership to establish business plans, operational initiatives, staffing strategies, and long-term growth objectives.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and financial performance of the construction division.
- Guide preconstruction planning and estimating efforts to ensure accurate project budgets, successful project handoffs, and profitable project execution.
- Provide executive oversight of field operations, promoting safe work practices, quality workmanship, consistent project execution, and effective resource allocation.
- Evaluate project plans, constructability, and operational risks to proactively identify challenges and implement practical solutions before they impact project success.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and business partners while supporting business development initiatives.
- Champion process improvements, technology adoption, and operational best practices that enhance organizational performance and scalability.
- Ensure construction operations consistently meet Company standards, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
What we are looking for from you...

Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within Residential and/or Commercial Construction operations

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred

Proven experience leading estimating, project management, and field operations in a multi-project environment.
- Strong financial understanding with experience managing budgets, forecasting, job costing, and operational performance.
- Extensive knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction practices, scheduling, estimating, contracts, project financial management, and construction methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to evaluate constructability, identify operational risks, and implement practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills with a proven ability to build high-performing teams.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and long-term business objectives.
- Proficiency with Construction Management Software, Estimating/Take Off Software, and Microsoft Office products.
