Job Title: Registered Nurse
Department: Nursing
Reports To: Administrator
Summary: Manages, supervises, and coordinates the nursing clinical care required for eligible people by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides and supervises clinical care services.
Selects, schedules, assigns, trains, and evaluates staff.
Orients and trains new staff.
Conducts education programs related to patient care and identifying health concerns.
Coordinates clinical activities and work assignments of staff members.
Evaluates clinical activities to ensure consumer care, staff relations, and service efficiency.
Provide nursing assessments for all consumers.
Observes and instructs the nursing care of clinical staff members to ensure that nursing care and treatment are administered in accordance with physician instructions and program regulations.
Develops, implements, and evaluates clinical procedures, goals, and objectives.
Participates in infection control, care planning, utilization review, case management, and quality assessment activities and analysis.
Interprets and enforces department and agency policies and good practice standards.
Performs chart audits and makes modifications as needed.
Coordinates clinical services with other medical professionals.
Keeps informed on special orders concerning consumers.
Orders or directs ordering of drugs, solutions, and equipment and maintains records on narcotics.
Refers unusual problems to supervisor.
Documents all services, treatments, medications, professional orders, therapies, staff intervention, etc.
Reviews care records, staff notes, treatment records, medical reports, etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage subordinate staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Driver’s Licenses and Proof of Insurance:
A valid driver’s license, with less than 4 points, and proof of insurance are required for this position.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Individual Professional Liability Insurance, current CPR certification, RN license
Other Qualifications:
This position requires reliable transportation, pre-employment and random drug screenings, criminal background check, annual TB test, and travel, pre-employment, and random drug testing. Weekend and evening work may be required. Current CPR and First Aid certification and bloodborne pathogen training documentation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is frequently exposed to bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases.
Pay: $41.00 - $41.25 per hour
