Duties
- Lead swimming lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring safety and progress
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety protocols clearly and effectively
- Incorporate sports coaching elements such as basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or martial arts to enhance lesson engagement
- Manage behavior and foster a supportive environment for students working with diverse needs and backgrounds
- Conduct regular safety checks of the pool area, equipment, and facilities in line with health club standards
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to develop lesson plans that integrate physical education principles like Judo or Karate
- Maintain accurate attendance records, progress reports, and communicate student achievements to parents or guardians
Skills
- Proven Lifeguard experience with current certification preferred; strong water rescue skills are essential
- Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education, especially in martial arts such as Karate or Judo
- Experience working with children or students in childcare or educational settings
- Knowledge of swimming techniques across various levels and familiarity with behavior management strategies
- Ability to teach diverse activities including basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or other physical sports
- Excellent communication skills to motivate students and explain techniques clearly
- Passion for promoting health club activities and encouraging active lifestyles through engaging instruction
