About Us:
White Diamond Landscape is a leading provider of landscaping services, committed to delivering exceptional quality and service to our clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced part-time Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing a variety of small engines, including those used in landscaping equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
-Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines, including lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment.
-Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, spark plug replacements, and blade sharpening.
-Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the best course of action for repairs.
Equipment Management:
-Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and ready for daily operations.
-Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
-Order and manage inventory of parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
Safety Compliance:
-Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when working with equipment.
-Ensure that all equipment meets safety standards before being used by the crew.
-Provide recommendations on equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary.
Collaboration:
-Work closely with the operations team to ensure equipment availability and reliability.
-Assist in training crew members on proper equipment use and maintenance.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or similar role.
-Strong knowledge of small engine systems and components.
-Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently.
-Familiarity with hand and power tools commonly used in engine repair.
-Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
-Strong organizational skills and ability to manage inventory.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
-High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in small engine repair is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and parts.
-Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
-Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
