Hello, I am Michael and I run Reliable Auto Repair in south San Jose. I need to hire an experienced automotive service writer to take my position and work full time Monday thru Friday from 8AM until 5PM. We are a small family-owned automotive repair shop with a total of four bays, one alignment rack, four automotive technicians, and one automotive service writer. Starting taking cars out of the garage and parking them in the parking lot.

Greet all the customers in the morning and write up their repair orders.
Assign the repairs orders to the technicians.
Prepare estimates from the inspections that the technicians turn back in and get the parts necessary for all of the jobs we sell by calling multiple vendors and comparing pricing.
Sell the repairs that the technicians recommend and calculate an expected time of completion and keep the customer updated.
Order the parts necessary for all of the jobs we sell.

Final Thoughts
It took me 15 years to get to a point where we are a busy shop with a good name in San Jose that stays packed year-round. We are not a traditional dealership or franchise environment where responsibilities are unevenly distributed and a few people carry the majority of the workload. We are looking for a talented, driven leader who takes ownership, delivers results, and wants to be a true partner in building something great. The right person will have the opportunity to make an impact, grow with the company, and help shape our future success. If you’re up for it then give me a call at 408-230-2952, thank you!
