Overview
Quality childcare center, NAEYC accredited, is seeking a experienced, passionate, and dedicated toddler teacher.
Our mission is to care for, protect, include and educate all children, including high risk children; Build a solid foundation for learning which begins at birth. Also, improve the quality of all children's lives through quality childcare, early screening, early quality education, family/community support and engagement.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the well-being of infants and the leadership of the classroom
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom consistent with health and safety standards
- Active Supervision and engagement to ensure safety
- Meal service and meal-recording
- Creative program/lesson planning supporting best practices
- Observations to help improve social and emotional competencies
- Child Screening
- Host classroom family engagement activities in the classroom/center
- Family communication
- Parent Meetings
- Parent Newsletters
- Lead classroom team meetings
- Attend monthly team meetings
Experience
- 2+ years of previous experience as a toddler or preschool teacher preferred.
- Experience a lead in the classroom
- Strong understanding of Teaching Strategies curriculum, childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning atmosphere are essential. Join our team and make a difference in the lives of young learners!
Skills and credentials
- CDA or higher degree in early childhood from an accredited college
- Gateways Infant/Toddler credential level 5
- Familiar with Teaching Strategies, Creative Curriculum, and NAEYC a plus!
- Hourly rate depend on credentials (Gateways credential level, degree, experience with the above) in that order.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.25 - $25.00 per hour
