Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Crane Operator for projects in Monroe, NC. Candidates must have verifiable crane certifications and be able to operate an 18-ton Broderson carry deck crane safely and efficiently.
This position requires strong knowledge of crane operation, rigging, material handling, and job site safety. Several back-to-back projects may be available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Operate an 18-ton Broderson carry deck crane safely and efficiently
- Lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and supplies on the job site
- Perform pre-operation inspections and report any equipment issues
- Assist with rigging activities and ensure loads are properly secured
- Communicate clearly with ground crews, supervisors, and signal persons
- Follow lift plans, site instructions, and all safety procedures
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
- Support material handling and equipment movement as needed
- Work safely in construction or industrial job site environments
Requirements
- Previous crane operating experience required
- Must have verifiable crane certifications
- Must be able to operate an 18-ton Broderson carry deck crane
- Experience with rigging and material handling required
- Construction or industrial job site experience preferred
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment safety standards
- Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to work well with supervisors, signal persons, and crew members
- Must be available for project-based work; several back-to-back projects may be available
