Senior Title Officer / Title Examiner

Core Title Group is seeking an experienced Title Officer / Title Examiner to join our team in Reno, Nevada.
We are looking for a title professional who can confidently examine both residential and commercial transactions, resolve complex title issues, and provide trusted guidance to escrow teams, customers, and underwriters. Nevada experience is preferred, but we are also interested in experienced title professionals from other locations who are looking for a new opportunity in a growing market.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of transactions while becoming a key technical resource within our organization.
What You'll Do
- Perform title searches and examinations for residential, commercial, land, and development transactions
- Analyze and resolve complex title issues including liens, easements, legal descriptions, ownership disputes, access issues, and title defects
- Prepare accurate title commitments, title reports, and supporting documentation
- Evaluate title insurability and identify potential underwriting concerns
- Work closely with escrow officers, lenders, attorneys, surveyors, developers, and real estate professionals
- Communicate with underwriters and assist with underwriting-related matters
- Research and interpret legal documents affecting title
- Serve as a technical resource and subject matter expert for title and escrow teams
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of title examination experience preferred
- Strong residential and commercial title examination experience required
- Ability to independently evaluate title risk and determine insurability
- Experience with complex ownership structures, development projects, legal descriptions, easements, and title curative work
- Strong understanding of title insurance underwriting principles and the ability to work with multiple underwriters
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Nevada title experience
- Experience working directly with title insurance underwriters
- Builder, subdivision, and development experience
- Knowledge of water rights, mineral rights, and other complex property interests
- Industry certifications or Title Officer designation
