Responsibilities
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to expedite food orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of dishes to guests
- Verify accuracy of orders against tickets, checking for proper presentation and temperature before serving
- Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen personnel to relay special requests or modifications
- Organize and prioritize food trays for smooth service flow during busy periods
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and maintaining a tidy dining area
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially in roles involving food expediting or preparation
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between kitchen staff and servers
- Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems and basic numeracy for order accuracy and transaction handling
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
- Understanding of food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Experience with banquet service or large event catering is a plus, demonstrating adaptability under pressure
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods while maintaining focus on detail and quality
