Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including both residential and commercial cleaning tasks. This position is a Monday-Friday 3pm-7pm
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain and care for different types of flooring surfaces, ensuring they are clean and well-maintained.
- Conduct industrial cleaning as needed, following safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Handle custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, adapting to the specific needs of each location.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Execute porter duties as required, including waste disposal and replenishing supplies in restrooms and common areas.
- Carry out buffing and polishing of floors to maintain their appearance.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is an asset.
- Experience in residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning standards and practices is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve cleanliness goals.
