Cobb Children’s Learning Center in Roseburg, Oregon is looking for a warm, dependable, and confident Lead Infant Teacher to join our team!
This is more than just a childcare position — you’ll be leading an infant classroom, building meaningful relationships with families, supporting your teaching team, and creating safe, engaging experiences for our youngest learners.

What You’ll Do
- Provide nurturing, responsive care for infants
- Plan developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Support feeding, sleeping, diapering, play, and individual routines
- Track and celebrate children’s growth and developmental milestones
- Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming classroom
- Build positive relationships with families
- Lead and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
- Maintain active supervision and required staff-to-child ratios
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development
- Help create a positive, professional classroom culture
Our Lead Teachers are expected to provide safe, developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and engaging care while leading classroom operations and supporting other assigned staff.
Position Details
Full-Time Lead Infant Teacher, Salaried
Generally 36+ hours per week, with scheduling based on enrollment, classroom needs, ratios, and Center operations.
✅ We’re Looking For Someone Who Can
- Has at least 1 year experience with this age group
- Meet Oregon childcare licensing and background requirements
- Maintain required CPR, First Aid, Safe Sleep, health and safety, and mandatory reporting training
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds and comfortably get up and down from floor level
- Be consistently present, on time, and ready to lead the classroom
Reliable attendance is especially important in this role because it directly supports child safety, required ratios, classroom consistency, families, and the rest of the teaching team.
