Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Expo Food team member to join our vibrant hospitality environment! Responsibilities
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to expedite food orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to guests
- Prepare and organize food items for service, including plating and garnishing as needed
- Communicate clearly with kitchen team regarding order status, special requests, or modifications
- Assist in food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for order tracking and billing purposes
- Maintain organizational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously during peak hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, expediting or food service roles within restaurants or hospitality settings
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic numeracy for order processing and billing
- Experience with banquet service or hotel food operations is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills combined with a positive attitude and teamwork orientation
