Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service and maintaining the integrity of the freight during transit. The successful applicant will have experience with tractor-trailers and drop and hooks.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive tractor-trailer.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations while following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo transported.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and compliance.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of manual and automatic transmission operation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
- Must pass a drug screening as part of the hiring process.
