Job Overview:
Seeking an experienced Pediatric Behavioral Health RN to provide safe, compassionate care to children and adolescents in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting. The RN will provide assessments, medication administration, crisis intervention, behavioral support, and therapeutic care while maintaining a safe environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric and adolescent psychiatric patients.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor changes in physical and mental status.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Provide therapeutic communication and psychoeducation.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, social services, pharmacy, phlebotomy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.
- Float to other units or facilities based on patient care needs and skill set.
Requirement:
- Active Oregon RN license
- Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
- Pediatric and/or adolescent inpatient psychiatric experience required
- BLS Certification required
- EPIC experience required
- Must have a vehicle for the assignment
- Must be willing to float to other units and facilities based on operational needs.
Note: Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
FLOATING
- Floating may be required based on unit needs and skill set.
- Seaside floating may include IRS standard mileage reimbursement.
- Hotel accommodation may be offered for consecutive Seaside floating shifts.
- Parking is free
- Scrubs: Any color
