American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

Short-term acute care hospital setting, 733 staffed beds, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital

Med/Surg Telemetry unit
-
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
-
Patient ratio of 1:5–6
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campus
-
No on-call requirements
-
Charting in Epic (experience required)
-
Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licensure is not accepted

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Epic EMR proficiency required
-
SSN and date of birth required for consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible

Royal blue and white scrubs required

Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to first shift (approximately 4–10 hours)

RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract

Only one holiday approval per contract

Previous employees or travelers must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
-
Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to be away for a minimum of 6 months prior to returning
