AWS Billing and Cost Management is seeking an exceptional Sr. Manager of Product Management - Technical to lead a transformational initiative building customer-facing features that help enterprise customers get the most out of AWS billing and cost management capabilities. This is a high-impact leadership role that will shift our organization from sales operations focused to product solutions focused, driving customer enablement, reducing escalations, and pioneering outbound product engagement strategies.
Billing turns cloud usage into cash flow for AWS. Our team processes billions of dollars in revenue, delivering accurate and timely invoices to customers ranging from startups to the world's largest enterprises. We deliver 99.9% accurate invoices within 1.4 days of month close, serving as the critical interface between AWS service teams, customers, partners, finance, and sales organizations. Now, we are building world-class customer-facing product experiences on top of our operational excellence foundation.
As Sr. Manager, you will lead the team building capabilities across Product Management, Technical Program Management, and Sales Operations functions. You will define and execute the product strategy for external-facing services that empower customers to understand their AWS spend, optimize costs, and resolve billing questions through self-service capabilities.
Key job responsibilities
You will lead the team analyzing escalation data and customer feedback to build self-service tools that deflect common billing questions and improve invoice acceptance rates. Your team will lead product discovery with enterprise customers to build intuitive solutions that drive understanding, adoption, and cost optimization. Working with engineering, UX, and data science teams, you will establish success metrics and drive cross-functional alignment across AWS service teams, finance, sales, and support organizations. By partnering with customer support and technical account management teams, you will translate recurring challenges into product requirements and implement proactive systems that prevent escalations.
You will establish an outbound engagement model where product managers regularly interact with customers through advisory boards, user research studies, and beta programs. Building relationships with key enterprise customers and partners, you will create feedback loops that inform product strategy and represent the voice of the customer in strategic planning and leadership reviews.
You will lead the organizational transformation from sales operations to product solutions focus, building a high-performing team across Technical Program Management, Product Management, and Sales Operations. You will establish new ways of working, uplevel capabilities, and create mechanisms that enable teams to move fast and deliver impact.

The AWS Billing and Cost Management team plays a mission-critical role in AWS's success. Customers and partners rely on us to calculate bills accurately, help them understand their charges, and enable optimization opportunities for their spend. AWS service teams rely on us to develop and commercialize pricing plans, meter usage, provide analytics, and present timely invoices for revenue collection. Finance teams rely on us to report revenue, measure program impact, and close books. Sales teams rely on us to operationalize private pricing agreements and support customer lifecycle events.
- 5+ years of people management experience
- Experience in people management
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- 8+ years of successful technology products work from ideation through launch experience
- Experience in successful technology product work from ideation through launch
- Experience delivering technology products or services in a high growth environment
- Experience shaping business strategy for technical products or services for large enterprises or partners
- Experience with cloud native technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $179,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $309,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
