Duties
- Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards.
- Serve meals to residents with professionalism, kindness, and respect, ensuring proper portioning and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, and food handling equipment through regular sanitation and sanitation procedures.
- Support food handling activities including bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and ensuring proper food storage practices.
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Help with kitchen organization, including stocking supplies, inventory management, and maintaining sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with dietary team members to support efficient meal delivery and resident satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or food service industries is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food production, preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation practices.
- Experience with food handling, cooking, cleaning, bussing or meal preparation is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach toward residents and staff.
- Familiarity with dietary department operations or dietetics is a plus.
- Ability to follow safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation standards.
