Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Temporary Dental Hygienist to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to comprehensive patient care while working in a supportive and innovative dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing to promote optimal oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a dental hygienist in a clinical or dental office setting is required.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix is essential for efficient record management.
- Knowledge of infection control standards, anatomy, and medical terminology will support effective patient care delivery.
