The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Performs construction, maintenance, janitorial and repair tasks in public rights-of-ways, City-wide parks, green spaces and public facilities; uses fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides and cleaning solutions to maintain City-wide parks, rights-of-ways, and green spaces.
Helps maintain City-wide sprinkler systems, City-wide waterway systems, fields and parks for youth/adult athletics, interiors and exteriors of City buildings; replaces fixtures; performs other repairs of City structures and facilities; completes citizen/departmental generated work orders.
High school diploma or GED, supplemented by a minimum 1-2 years previous experience and/or training involving manual labor, or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential job functions. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license for the State of Florida.
