Mechanical Inspector Job Description:
PrideStaff is working with a local medical manufacturing company who is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join their team. The Mechanical Inspector will document all measurements pre, mid, and post production, ensuring all products meet the required quality standards. The ideal Mechanical Inspector brings years of manufacturing experience focused on medical devices utilizing PC-DMIS, QC-CALC, Minitab, or SigmaXL software. The Mechanical Inspector has an eye for detail and solid blueprint interpretation, resulting in outstanding documentation skills. The Mechanical Inspector position is a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Minneapolis, MN.
Mechanical Inspector Job Responsibilities:
- Read & Interpret Engineering Drawings & Blueprints to Inspect Parts, Verifying Dimensions Against Quality Control Plans
- Perform Visual & Dimensional Checks to Identify & Log Anomalies Such as Burrs, Scratches, Cosmetics Defects, or Size Variations
- Program & Operate CMM Using PC-DMIS, & Vision Inspection Systems Such as Micro-Vu, While Ensuring All Tools Are Properly Maintained & Calibrated
- Complete All Inspections & Documentation Reports (FAIR), Process Final Inspection Certifications, & Maintain Accurate Records Following Good Documentation Practices
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) Tools to Track Trends & Ensure Consistent Quality Standards Throughout Production
- Follow All Safety & PPE Requirements
Mechanical Inspector Job Requirements & Working Conditions:
- High School Diploma Required
- 3+ Years of Experience Inspecting Swiss Machining, Micro-Swiss, Laser Tube Cutting, Wire EDM, or 2D & 3D CNC Bending
- Hands on Experience With Standard Mechanical Tools Such as Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, & Pin Gages
- Demonstrates Excellent Math & Measuring Skills
- Solid Computer Software Experience Using: CMM PC-DMIS (Programming & Operating), Micro-Vu, QC-CALC, Minitab, or SigmaXL
- Solid Knowledge & Experience With ISO-9001 or ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems
