The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations of the hotel to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and employees. This role supervises maintenance staff, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and ensures all building systems, equipment, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with hotel management to support operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and exceptional guest satisfaction. This is a PM Position.
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance team members.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify repair needs and safety concerns.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, environmental standards, and local building codes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.
- Manage maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts inventory.
- Support renovation, refurbishment, and capital improvement projects as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 1–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality, commercial, or facility management environments.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts when necessary.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and materials.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions for extended periods.
Reports directly to the Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer, or Hotel General Manager, depending on the property's organizational structure.
