Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Have completed a California POST Basic Academy within the past three years or
- Possess a California POST Basic Certificate and have successfully completed probation with a California law enforcement agency within the past three years
- Have at least 60 college semester units
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid California driver's license
- Meet California POST standards for background, medical, and psychological fitness
Hiring Process
Applicants must submit a completed application and supplemental questionnaire. Final candidates will complete a comprehensive background investigation, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical examination, and psychological evaluation before appointment.
