Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic sales associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail, a strong ability to connect with our customers, and knowledge of our products. As a sales associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers find the right products for their needs, and maintaining appearance of the store. Your ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate product knowledge will be key to driving sales and enhancing the customer experience.
Shift hours vary between the following for our summer hours:
Sunday-Thursday:
9am-3pm or 9am-5pm
3pm-10pm or 5pm-10pm
Friday-Saturday
9am-3pm or 9am-5pm
3pm-11pm or 5pm-11pm
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly as they enter the store and provide assistance as needed.
- Knowledge on smoke shop products.
- Explain product to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking to enhance the shopping experience.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves, organizing products, and conducting stock checks regularly.
- Strong communication skills to inform customers about promotions, new products, or store policies effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance store performance
Requirements
- Must be 21+
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Positive attitude towards customers and team members.
- Willingness to learn about current and new products in store.
- Keeping store clean and completing daily tasks.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
