Job Summary
Small busy chiropractic office seeking a friendly, dependable team member to assist with patient therapies, scheduling, phones, insurance tasks, and general office duties. Must be organized, professional, and enjoy helping people. Insurance or medical office experience preferred but willing to train the right person.
Your expertise will help facilitate accurate documentation, patient intake, and treatment support, contributing to improved health outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist chiropractor with patient intake, including collecting vital signs and medical histories
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary equipment, EMR systems, are ready for procedures
- Support patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing compassionate service
- Manage medical records and documentation accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as assisting with therapies and monitoring rehab exercises when required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment to meet health and safety standards
- Support administrative duties including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to chiropractic care
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and medical documentation practices
- Excellent patient service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, intake procedures, and basic life support (BLS) certification preferred
- Familiarity with medical office management software and ICD coding for accurate billing and record keeping
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with healthcare professionals and ensure seamless patient experiences
