Overview
No prior experience is necessary! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our medical doctor and chiropractic doctor in the office. Your primary focus will be on delivering excellent patient service while assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks. This is job that requires a lot of movement and multi-tasking. A strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology will be beneficial as you work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and care.
Duties
- Administer red light therapy using handheld devices (wands) under the direction of the chiropractor. Ensure proper setup and patient comfort during the therapy sessions.
- Greet patients warmly and assist them throughout their visit.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, confirm visits and other office tasks etc
- Conduct patient assessments to gather relevant health information.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is ready for use.
- Assist chiropractors during examinations and treatments, including positioning patients appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, exercises, and wellness practices.
- Manage scheduling of appointments and follow-up visits.
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and processing patient information.
- Stopping treatment for therapy
Requirements
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
- Ability to perform basic patient assessments effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
