Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor to join our educational team. The Medical Assistant Course Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for students pursuing a career as medical assistants. The instructor will teach practical skills, and evaluate student performance to ensure they meet program standards and are prepared for professional roles.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive hands-on training in line with the course curriculum.
- Teach key areas, including medical terminology, clinical procedures, administrative duties, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and patient care.
- Provide individualized support to students, helping them grasp challenging material and encouraging their academic growth.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments, providing constructive feedback to guide improvement.
- Collaborate with faculty members to ensure alignment with curriculum standards and educational objectives.
- Stay current with advancements in higher education teaching methodologies.
Experience
- A background in nursing or a related field is preferred, with experience in clinical trials or research being a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the classroom setting.
- Previous experience in higher education teaching or as an educator is highly desirable.
- Experience working in acute care environments will be beneficial for providing real-world context to instructional material.
- A passion for educating others and a commitment to student success are crucial attributes for this role.
