Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Woodshop Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of custom wood products and structures. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality craftsmanship and efficient production processes. Duties
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately produce specified wood products.
- Assist with construction tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, and siding application.
- Support restoration projects including water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, stucco application, and rebar installation.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for material handling, concrete forming, masonry work, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and metal stud framing.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations; maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects and installation of cabinetry, fixtures, doors, and other custom woodwork components.
Experience
- Prior experience in woodworking or carpentry within the construction or restoration industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools such as saws and drills, CNC machines or fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of various construction disciplines including framing (wood and metal), drywall finishing (plastering/stucco), roofing, siding installation, and flooring.
- Experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments involving remodeling or restoration projects.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; comfortable working in physically demanding roles requiring manual labor.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, masonry techniques or tile laying is a plus but not mandatory. Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
