ALIYA of Palos Park is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Admissions to join our team. The Director of Admissions is responsible for overseeing the facility's admissions process, managing referrals, coordinating resident admissions, and developing relationships with referral sources to support census growth. This position works closely with hospital discharge planners, case managers, physicians, residents, families, and facility leadership to ensure a seamless transition into the facility.
The ideal candidate will have experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or healthcare admissions and possess strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities
Manage the referral and admissions process from inquiry through admission
Review referrals and coordinate clinical and financial approvals
Verify insurance coverage, payer sources, and admission eligibility
Coordinate admissions, transfers, and re-admissions with facility departments
Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, and community partners
Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families
Maintain accurate admission records and documentation in PCC and other applicable systems
Participate in census development initiatives and implement strategies to increase occupancy
Collaborate with Nursing, Therapy, Social Services, and Business Office teams to ensure successful resident admissions
Monitor referral activity, admissions trends, and census goals
Participate in facility meetings and provide admissions updates to leadership
Maintain compliance with all facility policies and regulatory requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of admissions, marketing, business development, or healthcare experience preferred
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, or Post-Acute Care experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and insurance authorization processes preferred
Experience with PCC and healthcare admissions systems preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with referral sources
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
