We are looking for a skilled veterinary assistant or technician with at least one year of work experience in a small animal practice or a licensed veterinary technician. This role offers potential for future growth and leadership opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Get a history from the client and start chart notes
- Restrain animals during exams and procedures
- Assist during radiographic procedures
- Set up for surgeries
- Clean surgical instruments and sterilize surgical packs
- Clean the hospital and kennels
- Fill prescription requests
- Collect and submit lab samples
- Place IV catheters and venipuncture
- Assist with anesthesia
- Promote hospital and build relationships with fellow staff members and clients
