GVH Diversified, LLC in Odessa, TX is looking for a Wire Cutter Manager to lead our wire cutting department. If you take pride in precision, know how to keep a production floor running safely and on schedule, and enjoy coaching a team to do their best work, we want to hear from you.
What You Will Do
As Wire Cutter Manager, you will own the daily operation of the wire cutting department and lead the team that makes it run. Here is a look at what your days will include:
- Lead the daily operation of the wire cutting department, including production, quality, and materials handling.
- Manage, train, and coach the wire cutting team, setting clear expectations and supporting their growth.
- Measure and cut wire to customer specifications using manual and automated tools, and oversee the team to ensure every cut is accurate.
- Inspect materials and finished work for precision, correct measurements, and damage free product before it leaves the department.
- Receive incoming wire and cable, verify quantities against paperwork, and keep materials slotted, organized, and accessible.
- Monitor inventory, oversee regular cycle counts, and communicate shortages, overages, or damage to purchasing.
- Perform and oversee routine maintenance on cutting tools and machinery to keep the department running smoothly.
- Keep the wire cutting area clean, organized, and customer walk in ready at all times.
- Document production and accuracy metrics, complete daily paperwork, and report issues to the Warehouse Manager promptly.
- Champion safety: train the team on OSHA and GVH requirements, verify daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, and keep certifications current.
- Partner with the Warehouse Manager and cross train to support receiving, order selecting, and annual physical inventory.
What We Are Looking For
- 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a warehouse or production environment, including wire cutting operations.
- Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Able to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to job and safety requirements.
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
- Warehouse and forklift or hand truck experience preferred.
- Comfortable learning and using new software and equipment.
- A safety-first mindset and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- A positive, team-oriented leader who enjoys coaching and developing others.
- Must be okay with after hours call ins as operational needs require.

Position Details
- Pay: $50,000 to $70,000 per year ($24.04 to $33.65 per hour).
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, starting at 8:00 AM until finished. Start and end times may vary based on customer and operational needs.
- Location: On-site in Odessa, TX.
