Whitecap Search is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join a prestigious NJ-based law firm's legal team. The successful candidate will support attorneys in all aspects of personal injury litigation, from initial client intake through settlement or trial.
- Assist attorneys with case management, including drafting and filing legal documents, managing discovery, and preparing for depositions and trials.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for case preparation.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
- Maintain and organize case files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinate with medical providers to obtain necessary records and reports.
- Prepare settlement demands and assist in negotiating settlements.
- Track and manage deadlines for court filings and other legal procedures.
- Associate's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury law or related field.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with case management software.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Experience with trial preparation and support.
