Duties
- Develop comprehensive fire sprinkler system layouts using CAD software such as AutoSPRINK, Revit, and , AutoCAD ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety codes.
- Create detailed schematics and mechanical designs that translate project requirements into functional sprinkler systems.
- Collaborate with general contractors, project managers, and construction teams to integrate sprinkler designs seamlessly into overall building plans.
- Prepare detailed construction documents, including specifications and installation instructions for contractors.
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with local codes, NFPA standards (National Fire Protection Association), and client requirements.
- Support on-site construction teams by providing technical guidance during installation and troubleshooting design issues as they arise.
Experience
- Proven experience designing fire sprinkler systems or related mechanical fire protection solutions in a professional setting.
- Proficiency with CAD drafting tools such as AutoSPRINK Revit and /or HydroCAD Revit.
- Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) software like NavisWorks for project coordination.
- Strong understanding of schematics, drafting standards, and construction processes related to fire protection systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles applicable to fire suppression systems and 2D animation techniques for system visualization is a plus.
- Experience working on projects that involve civil infrastructure or large-scale commercial buildings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and convey complex technical concepts clearly.
