What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the building.
- Responding promptly and efficiently to tenant maintenance requests.
- Performing general plumbing repairs (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains).
- Handling basic electrical work (e.g., replacing outlets, light fixtures).
- Troubleshooting and repairing common household appliances.
- Performing light construction tasks including plastering, painting, sheetrock repair, and drywall work.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of common areas.
- Minor landscaping and upkeep of building exteriors (if applicable).
- Communicating effectively with tenants and management.
- Ensuring building safety and security.
- Other related duties as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Building Superintendent or similar role.
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience in:
- Plumbing
- Electrical work
- Appliance repair
- Light construction (plaster, paint, sheetrock, drywall)
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
- Resident of the building, ensuring quick response times.
