We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roll Off Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating roll-off trucks to transport waste and recyclable materials. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to perform mechanical checks on the vehicle. Responsibilities
- Operate roll-off trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Safely load and unload containers at designated locations, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate logs of vehicle operations, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues encountered during routes.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks on vehicles as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in operating various types of trucks including roll-off trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, rear loader trucks, and tractor-trailers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols while driving.
- Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
