Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across various populations. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough speech and language assessments for pediatric and adult patients, including early intervention evaluations for children.
- Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs, including those with disabilities or speech impairments.
- Provide direct therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques in person or via telehealth platforms to maximize accessibility.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care strategies and support systems.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), maintaining compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, physiology of speech production, anatomy knowledge, and effective home practice routines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program; licensure or certification as required by state or country regulations.
- Proven experience working with children in pediatrics or early intervention settings; familiarity with school-based environments is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, language therapy methods, and comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Experience working with individuals with speech impairments, disabilities, or communication challenges across diverse populations including geriatric patients.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in both clinical and telehealth settings.
- Prior telehealth experience is preferred; comfort with virtual therapy platforms is essential for expanding access to care.
