Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Director to lead our long-term care facility’s maintenance operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of facilities management, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Duties
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance across all facility systems.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance management programs utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, assets, and schedules.
- Oversee electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage wiring, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters.
- Manage HVAC systems to ensure optimal climate control, energy efficiency, and compliance with health standards.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized services like programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial automation, and manufacturing equipment repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems, electrical panels, schematics, and building infrastructure to identify potential issues proactively.
- Lead project management efforts for facility upgrades or renovations while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and budget constraints.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols related to electrical work (including high voltage), low voltage systems, and industrial maintenance procedures.
- Ensure all maintenance activities meet regulatory standards for long-term care facilities while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical expertise in both low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Experience working with CMMS platforms for maintenance scheduling and asset tracking.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, industrial manufacturing processes, and facilities management best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while promoting safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with staff, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
