Your 4 Legged Pet Service is growing, and we’re looking for reliable, animal‑loving team members to join our crew. We currently have a part‑time position available:
1. Weekday Midday Pet Care Position (Monday–Friday)
We have a weekday midday position available, requiring availability Monday through Friday between 10 AM and 4 PM.
Applicants must be able to work 1–2 weekends per month as part of our rotation.
This position is perfect for someone who wants steady daytime hours and enjoys building relationships with our regular clients and their pets.
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs in neighborhoods and on sidewalks
- Let dogs out for playtime and exercise
- Feed pets and refresh water
- Clean up after pets and scoop litter boxes
- Administer medications when needed
- Provide affection, attention, and TLC
- Water plants and collect mail for traveling clients
We assign clients as close to our “home base” as possible to maximize your earnings. Most travel distances range from 2–8 miles, with a maximum of 10 miles unless you choose to travel farther.
Shifts may range from 2 hours to 6–8 hours, depending on client needs.
This role requires strong reliability. While emergencies are understood, no-call/no-shows result in immediate termination because pets depend on you to keep your scheduled visits.
Schedules are built based on the entire team’s availability to ensure fairness and consistency.
PAY
- $10 per 30‑minute visit
- $14 per 45‑minute visit
- $18 per 60‑minute visit
REQUIREMENTS
- At least one year of experience in the pet profession (pet sitting, dog walking, vet assistant, kennel tech, daycare attendant, etc.)
- Must live within 10 miles of Hartford. Closer proximity increases profitability and efficiency.
- Must have a reliable, registered, fully insured vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Occasional dog transport may be required. Car mats and towels are provided.
- Must have a smartphone with photo, video, and GPS capability. Our app is used for scheduling, client updates, and team communication.
- Must be consistently available for the schedule you commit to.
- Must be available year‑round. This is not a seasonal position.
- Must be comfortable walking dogs in all weather (with safety restrictions in extreme conditions).
- Must be able to care for both dogs and cats.
- Must pass a background check. Employment is contingent upon successful completion.

Pay: $90.00 - $270.00 per week
