The Manager, Total Rewards is responsible for leading the administration and continuous improvement of the organization’s compensation, benefits, and wellness programs. This role partners with HR leadership, finance, payroll, business leaders, and external vendors to support competitive pay practices, effective benefits administration, and a strong employee experience. The position balances day-to-day execution with process improvement, data analysis, and program oversight across the total rewards function.
Essential Job Tasks:
- Manage day-to-day compensation and benefits administration, including employee escalations, vendor coordination, and ongoing program support.
- Support compensation processes such as job evaluations, market pricing, pay recommendations, merit planning, promotions, and off-cycle pay actions.
- Oversee benefit operations including health and welfare plans, retirement programs, annual enrollment support, payroll deduction coordination, and vendor issue resolution.
- Partner with HR leadership and business leaders on compensation and benefits-related decisions, recommendations, and employee communications.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to coach, develop, and lead professional staff.
- Maintain and improve total rewards processes, documentation, reporting, and controls to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
- Analyze compensation and benefits data, market trends, and program activity to support recommendations and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted resource to leaders and employees on pay and benefits-related questions and issues.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field + 5 years of progressive Human Resources, compensation, benefits, total rewards, or related experience required.
- Experience in a utility, public sector, or similarly complex environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Infor or similar HRIS platforms preferred.
Compensation Information:
$116,650 - $145,800 (min. - mid.)
