Duties
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using various tools and equipment
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine project requirements
- Operate and maintain fabrication machinery, welding machines and machining tools
- Perform welding tasks
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and manipulate sheet metal
- Rig and move heavy materials using cranes or forklifts
- Ensure quality control by inspecting finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to client requirements
- Assist Project Managers as needed on site
- Delivery of material to project site
Experience
- Prefer a certified welder with a minimum of 3 years' experience but with the right experience and background we may accommodate certifying the right candidate.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in metal fabrication required.
- Proficiency in various fabrication techniques including welding, machining, railing and sheet metal work is a must.
- Experience in miscellaneous metals layout, brite metals is a plus
- Ability to read drawings and specifications accurately
- Experience operating hand tools, forklifts, and cranes a plus
- Valid drivers license REQUIRED, good driving record with no violations
- Able to navigate driving in the city of Philadelphia and surrounding area
- PAY WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE
