Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shop Manager to lead our retail store operations with enthusiasm and precision. Duties
- Lead and supervise the retail team, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance performance and customer service skills
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to ensure product availability and optimal presentation
- Manage store operations including cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting activities
- Implement sales strategies, set targets, and monitor performance to meet or exceed sales goals
- Conduct interviews, employee orientation sessions, and onboarding processes for new hires; participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong team
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Coordinate shift schedules, supervise cashiering activities including pricing and cashiering procedures, and oversee operational tasks such as stocking and merchandising
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of retail math, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development, and leadership
- Familiarity with retail industry sales team management practices including sales management and sales techniques
- Ability to perform basic math accurately; experience with bookkeeping and payroll is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not required
- Knowledge of operational management principles including budgeting, pricing strategies, merchandising, stock control, and store management systems
